2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. sour cream
2 Tbsp. buttermilk
1 tsp. acid (lemon juice or apple cider vinegar work well)
1 tsp. dill
1/2 tsp. parsley
1/2 tsp. chives
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
Whisk everything together and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
Add a tablespoon or two of Frank's Red Hot to make buffalo ranch
Finely chop some chipotle peppers in adobo sauce and add those along with at least 1 tsp. of the sauce to make chipotle ranch
Use lime juice for the acid and add 1/2 tsp. brown sugar for a twist
